New 2023 Kawasaki SxS Coming June 7th
Переглядів 7602 роки тому
Kawasaki is set to release a new side-by-side June 7th. No, not just an additional model of a current side-by-side, but a new side-by-side. It looks like a four seat version of a KRX 1000, and Kawasaki hints to that with the text but we will have to wait and see. We are thinking a name of Teryx4 KRX 1000 or maybe Teryx KRX4 1000 sounds right. Tell us what you think it is and what it will be nam...

    Great coverage and bought one myself in 2019. I'm only 5'10" and the throttle pedal was too high to keep my foot at a lifted angle all day. I purchased the "Throttle Max" you attach it to the pedal and problem solved! You can keep your foot planted almost flat on the floor as your toes actuate the throttle & much more precise when going over whoopties & bumps!

    when you said “ the earth splits “ that’s awesome, I want to feel that. Man I can’t afford this but it looks like so much fun. 2.0 with 200+ hp with 32” tires all around and seats 4.. yup I don’t need that. I am building my own, I bought a new 750cc engine and I have some new 32” tires so I’m just going to tailor it to a one seater. I also don’t want to be responsible for anyone’s safety aside from my own. I really appreciate your video it’s a great breakdown and allows me to compare my needs Stay safe my friend

    Does it feel really heavy to ride? I recently rode a brute force and it felt nimble and had really good snap off the throttle but lacked in suspension travel for aggressive riding. How does this outlander feel power wise off the throttle, doesn't it have any belt lag or whatever you'd call it haha, and does it feel liek its a tank through the woods (heavy, not nimble)

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape 4 роки тому

      I would agree on the Brute Force lacking the travel. The Outlander is probably the most aggressive off the line I have ridden, and I don't think it feels heavy to ride, though it is a heavy ATV. The power is so strong out of the 850 engine that the weight isn't a drawback. I am thrilled Can-Am widened the suspension track in 2019 because the ride is significantly better. I have had a 1000 for a while, and the power is incredible. If I were going to buy an Outlander I would buy the 850 unless power is your only goal. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Great review. I appreciate the high lights but the low lights are the important ones. I have a 2010 2-seater that gets lots of use. It is bone stock starting life as a LE Camo. I'd like a new one BUT there isn't much difference in the 10 year newer LE except the cost and perhaps the ugliest roll cage in existance. Since Kawasaki hasn't shown the '21 2 seater I'm afraid the 2021 Yamaha RMAX has set the bar very high. That being said I'm patiently waiting for the 2021 Teryx 2 and hoping for some level of refinement. Thanks again for a real life review and I really appreciated your speaker mic for on the go observations.

    Is there footage of you all tackling some trails or obstacles? I am in the market for a sxs before next hunting season. The wolverine x2 is at the top of my list. I just need something to haul deer out with and do some trail riding with my wife. Nothing crazy I am out of the crazy stage but sometimes you end up on a trail that doesn't leave you any option but to go through whatever is ahead. Thanks for the video and information you did provide. Also any recommendations on a sxs that I should look into is highly appreciated. I live in the eastern part of USA.

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape 4 роки тому

      Hey Adam. Thanks for watching and reaching out. We don't have an footage of anything extreme in the Wolverine. Based upon what you are planning to do with it, the X2 would be a good choice. It will handle whatever terrain you could ever throw at it in trail riding. For your kind of riding a rec/utility class is what you want. You could also look a Polaris General, Kawasaki Teryx, Can-Am Commander, and Honda Pioneer. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Wolverine X2. It is at the top of my list. I would go sit in one and, if you can, drive one before you buy any of these. I hope this helps. Josh

I know they are not offering a 6x6 version from the factory with a Limited package, but I would think you can add them with official Can-Am doors yourself. I hope this helps. Looking at these very seriously. I'm typically a Honda fan but our family does have the occasional TTR in our mix which have been good for us. We have our share of dirt bikes and four wheelers and now looking for our first SxS. I'm between the wolverines and pioneers and find myself stuck having to compromise on features. From online research it looks like the yamaha has the better suspension (which my back will appreciate) and the x4 has better rear seats but I prefer the geared transmission that the honda 1000 has (same as our rancher and foreman) which may also help keep it quiet which is a big deal for me (hate noisey exhausts). Any opinions on noise level while trail riding yamaha 850 vs honda 1000?

    • @atvescape
      @atvescape 5 років тому

      It has been a while since we rode a Pioneer. I know they are quiet. I will say the X2 & X4 might be the quietest UTVs or the market. I can't imagine the Pioneer being as quiet and certainly not more quiet. The seats in the X4 are superior to the Pioneer by a lot, and anyone back there will greatly appreciate the comfort. I wouldn't worry about the CVT transmission on the X4. Yamaha has a very durable setup on its CVT. I would suggest you go a at the very least drive one around the parking lot to see what you think before jumping in. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Hey Sam. I don't think Honda will ever offer a Turbo version from the factory. Honda has gone "all in" with Jackson Racing on their aftermarket bolt-on turbo, so I don't see Honda wanting to bring that internal. Also, Honda's product planner has said multiple times recently they will not be building a Turbo unit from the factory. Who knows what 15 years holds though. The one issue with the 6x6 is the lack of a turf mode. Like all they'd need to do is make the rears electronic lockers. I get it would require 3 but still. The pro or normal one for me, that 6x6 is just a hunting toy

      Totally agree, and that is what Can-Am told us. Defender Pro for work and Defender 6x6 for ultimate traction. They said adding two unlocking rear diffs would run around $500. We think most people buying the 6x6 would pay it, and that Can-Am had a missed opportunity here. Most people will spend $500 on an LED light setup and unlocking diffs bring a lot more value than LED lights. We will see if Can-Am makes a change on this and adds that feature. Thanks for watching and for commenting.

      @@atvescape yep 100%. These already cost like 25k, so them not adding unlocking diffs for 500 dollars is just cheaping out.

      When turning a vehicle with 2 or more rear axles, you get scrub from each. I do think when opting for the XT models, you get a power bed lift. Awesome machines.

      The two in-line axles would still tear up a lawn when turning even if only one wheel driven. One axle or set of wheels would have to be lifted up, or have articulating axles to have a true turf mode. Also, the two axles will "push" you straight is in slippery conditions where the front wheels may tend to slide. That's really the only time I need to engage the front axle drive is when tight turning in muddy conditions. On normal surfaces this "pushing" is never a problem.

      @@r.griffin7941 besides necroing a 2 year old comment, ive seen people take the diffs of off regular ones and put them on here for turf mode and it works just fine, but it has to be done aftermarket which makes it cost way more than if it was done oem. Its dumb and just can-am being cucks
